Job Description
For the past few years, we have focused heavily on the Ethereum blockchain, and we’ve developed substantial expertise in that area. While we have a deep understanding of Ethereum, we want to enhance our Bitcoin domain expertise - and that’s where you step in!
We are seeking an on-chain data analyst who will help uncover the real owners behind Bitcoin addresses. Your initial objective will be to analyse Bitcoin addresses and attribute them to known entities starting with centralised exchanges.
Although Bitcoin will be your primary focus at first, you are not limited to the Bitcoin blockchain alone. You will have the flexibility to contribute to various initiatives within the broader Santiment team. We already have all the data you need for your research: our pipelines retrieve raw blockchain data from the nodes and land it in a ClickHouse database that you can tap into for your analyses.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine labeling algorithms for Bitcoin addresses and other networks.
- Investigate on-chain transaction patterns to identify and attribute addresses to exchanges, funds, and other key entities.
- Deploy developed labeling algorithms into production pipelines using Docker
- Present findings and insights to both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to Santiment’s thought leadership in the crypto analytics space.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for new tools, features, or datasets that could enhance our on-chain analytics capabilities.
Key Qualifications
Must have:
- 2+ years of experience in the on-chain analytics field (that implies working with Dune, Flipside, Bitquery, or other on-chain analytics platforms, including private/in-house solutions).
- Solid understanding of UTXO-based networks.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of Python or a similar programming language.
Nice to have:
- A proactive, self-driven mindset.
- Experience with Airflow and ClickHouse.
